When Spyro takes a hit, he feels it, and changes color (which is how you can see how he's feel. This might explain why, when Spyro's in danger, Sparx also defends him against attack: Sparx's job is to keep Spyro out of trouble. He's a busy little fella and loves to help Spyro collect treasure - After all, if he stays near Spyro he's more likely to get fed (Sparx just loves Butterflies). Spyro's best friend is a Dragonfly named Sparx. Though they probably don't realize it yet, the people of Avalar are lucky to have a Dragon as enthusiastic and good-natured as Spyro to help them. He's so full of energy, he keeps Sparx on the move! Spyro is extremely curious and hardly ever cautious, which sometimes gets him into trouble! That's why Sparx sticks around, to make sure nothing too serious happens to him! Spyro's always rarin' to go, especially when he can charge some sheep or flame some frogs. Even the Elder Dragons admit he's got gumption! Just ask Gnasty Gnorc - he won't mess with Spyro again! Confident, cocky and the smallest hero in the Dragon Family, he often finds that the other Dragons don't appreciate his irreverence, though they can't fail to admire his bravery. He became quite the celebrity since he defeated Gnasty Gnorc and freed his Dragon bretheren from their crystal prisons. Especially a famous one like Spyro, the mischievous hero of this tale.
